MOD ANNOUNCEMENT: mod applications
Welcome to the Paradoxium Fragment moderator applications page. Here we will be detailing what exactly we’ll be looking for another moderator. We may take in more than one depending on the interest, but at minimum we will be looking for at least one person.
Applications will be open from January 1, 2022 - February 1, 2022, closing at midnight Pacific time.
What exactly is Paradoxium Fragment?
If you are not already aware, Paradoxium Fragment is a game that will be lasting about two years; it is a timeloop adventure/horror/mystery game based off of Ryukishi’s works - specifically the When they Cry series and especially Higurashi and Iwaihime. There are also influences from other various timeloop and isekai series, such as Re:zero.
The horror involved will primarily be psychological, but can also include body horror. What horrors entail completely depends on the cast and players; we will be respecting any opt outs and warning things as necessary.
As for the adventure part of the game, characters will be allowed to investigate the city for more clues as to what is happening and can even encounter monsters called tsukuyami.
More information about the game in full can be found at our navigation over here.
Do I need to be canon familiar to be a moderator?
You do not; canon familiarity with the When they Cry series will help us immensely, but it is not needed. All terms and lore will be explained in full detail for moderators to understand. Anything revealed to the playerbase as well will also be explained in full; any questions that moderators and playerbase may have in terms of the lore/terminology will be answered to the best of our ability if confused.
What are you looking for in a moderator?
Primarily, we are looking for someone who can help with the following tasks:
Handling the Discord during times when the other mods are not around. Time-wise, this will generally be midday/early evening Pacific.
Helping keep track of any questions that are asked and answering any immediate questions that do not need the feedback from the other mods.
Assisting with the main plot–this specifically entails checking drafts, helping come up with additional ideas, and keeping track of event logs for any character actions that might need moderator feedback, checking event log drafts, etc.
Assisting with any player plots. See above.
Potentially playing any minor or major NPCs.
Organizing and updating lists as needed. This, of course, is not as big of a priority compared to the above, so please do not be concerned if you cannot fill this task.
Moderators applying must be on the current mod team’s timelines.
If this interests you in any way, feel free to fill out this form. All comments are screened.
