II. nightmare radio
[ Sayaka tentatively grabs a pair of headphones and puts them on. There's a disquieting sense of something, but she tries to tune it out.
The music comes to life. It's familiar, but--
She blinks, and the awful Nightmare consumes her.
First, it feels like she's drowning in silence. Then, slowly, sound filters into her ears. Although she can't see her friends anywhere, she can hear them, and oh, she wishes she couldn't.
-- I don't need help from someone who gave in to despair once before. -- I can't trust you. If you come any closer, I'll shoot. -- We've never been friends.
She tries to run away, but finds herself tethered in place by the headphones' cable. She's still in the mall. Everything is fine.
She smiles apologetically at anyone who might have seen this display. ]
